When You Go From My Door (written by Pete White) As you pack all your things My heart begins to sink But I knew that the time would come To make it out on your own And lead this life alone For we’re all in need of room to grow When you go from my door You must mind how you go Mind how you go for me With the boxes away The room still feels the same And reminders of how you were still hang there Then some nights I forget When all the locks were set I’ll leave the bottom one free so you can get in When you go from my door You must mind how you go Mind how you go for me Let me be rest assured You will find your own road Mind how you go for me For me For me When you go from my door You must mind how you go Mind how you go for me Let me be rest assured You will find your way home Mind how you go for me

Home 02:30
Home (steve austin) in colours ever deep our souls have come to meet in places that I once had only dreamed of on the hill I stood alone I watched you down below like a child who cannot find a home like a child who cannot find a home standing there on high I could not reach the sky your honest eyes won’t hide what you’re disguising# but you know when this has gone and I’m left here alone I’m a child who’s far away from home I’m a child so far away from home when the hollow highs have gone I thank God I’m not alone here I am and I have found my home here I am and I have found my home here I am and I have found my home here I am and I have found my home

Moonrise 04:06
MOONRISE (Words and music Steve Austin) like the breeze on still water time gently breathes but won’t turn the tide and I can feel his breath upon me and I can love the man inside and I can know that time will change us but I will find him still in his eyes and the hurricane won’t turn the tide love the life we live for the moon will rise what are we but soul companions for a moment for a song and we will dance upon still water like the sunlight until we’re gone and the hurricane won’t turn the tide love the life we live for the moon will rise

Our Time Is Now (words and music by Steve Austin) Come gather around I speak only words In languages and strange voices Wherever you are And wherever your heart is From this home don’t be parted Our time is now Let nothing divide Or tear us from what we have started Though all things must end This day is not ours to be parted May thy will be done And may also be mine Through words and through choices May we find our own way And learn to be wiser And as one raise our voices Our time is now Let nothing divide Or tear us from what we have started Though all things must end This day is not ours to be parted From what we have started x 4 Our time is now Let nothing divide Or tear us from what we have started Though all things must end This day is not ours to be parted For wherever you are And wherever your heart is From this home don’t be parted

Orphans 04:51
ORPHANS (words and music Steve Austin) it’s time to burn these bridges down no ‘silver girl’ can sail these troubled waters I’m weary but I’m walking tall these tears are not of shame they will not drown us lay me down in waters deep let me lie in dreamless sleep with storm above in calm beneath are the two I lost and the love they gave me now is not for looking back the past it always sails not far behind me and it may call me gently home but into Siren arms it will not tempt me lay me down in waters deep let me lie in dreamless sleep with storm above in calm beneath are the two I lost and the love they gave me I’m not down I’m walking out I’m on the street again, where will it take me it’s time to burn these bridges down lie still in waters deep ‘til morning wake me ‘til morning wake me ‘til morning wake me ‘til morning wake me ‘til morning wake me

STEPPING BACK FROM THE EDGE (words and music Steve Austin) How do you know when the party is over when smiles have worn thin and jokes have been told and the lines of our laughter show age follows beauty and age without wisdom isn’t funny at all The song that he sang said ‘all roads lead somewhere’ I pray for the strength to find a new way so that all we made is battered but not broken the step I must take before it’s too late though all we made is battered, it’s still not broken this step we must take before it’s too late

LIKE THE RAIN (words and music by Steve Austin) Can you hear me As I sing Like the rain upon the leaves above you Such a gentle sound then it’s gone Can you feel me As I touch Like the rain upon your skin I kiss you Such a gentle touch then it’s gone But it will return To your life again Do you miss me As you weep Like the rain upon your face they’re falling All those gentle tears are not wrong And I may be gone But you are still my son

about

‘Under Diamond Skies’ (2008) is in many ways a reflective, ‘confessional’ album touching on life’s challenges and recent losses in the band. New songs were finding their feet with the exciting possibilities presented by having additional vocalists and the perfect studio set-up.
The album was commissioned by Halo records who were keen to hear how Beth Navaro would follow her Country album debut . The label boss came to a rehearsal where he met Steve and Pete who were backing Beth as she sang their songs. An offer was made that if the three singers would form an act he would pay for them to make an album. Navaro, the band, was born.
Mike Maslen (Halo) introduced Navaro to Mark Stevens, a producer in Northamptonshire. His rural studio, warmth, skill and humour made him the perfect man for the Navaro album.
The album took around six months to record. It was a learning experience for Navaro and the songs found their voice with a number of truly heartfelt performances.
The album title occurred as a band member looked up one clear autumn night as he walked home to his boat in the countryside. Everyone who had touched the lives of the band, both now and in the past were sleeping Under Diamond Skies.
The album is now the property of Navaro and is available via the Leading Horses Records website.
